I was so ready to order this. Now after reading a;; these I dont know what to do.

Are there any others that look similar to thid?

I am looking more for a step rather than rock rails. I live in FL by the beach, no so much off roading around where i live

If the solution to this is a 1/8" smaller diameter washer, why the hell aren't they sending smaller washers in their kits? This problem became obvious a while ago, why haven't they addressed it and fixed the problem. If grinding down the washers (actually one of their suggestions in their email reply) doesn't pemanently fix the sqeaking, I'm returning the bars.
It will not make the mount any weaker, they really have nothing to do with mounting of the bars, and there is more than enough material there for the body mount....I would think after the initial batch is gone, they will order slightly smaller washers next go around

It seems to me the problem here is the same as many aftermarket running boards. I think what is happening is when these things are installed, you are actually connecting two parts of the Jeep that normally are not. In other words, vibrations are being transmitted to a part of the Jeep that they should not be and causing the squeak. That's what it appears like in the pic, but it's hard to tell. After all, that's what causes all squeaks is vibration.

Oddly this is exactly what I want to do same Rails and leave the Rock Rails on? Do they just rub the Rock Rails?

I'm willing to dump the Stock Rails but I'd like to keep them in case I slip inside of the RRC ones I'll still have that up close protection on my metal.

Don't dump the Rubicon rails. All you have to do is add a piece of rubber between the Rugged Ridge rails and the Rubicon rails. Worked for me.
