2001 hummer H1 VS 2014 jku Sahara
Hopefully this doesn't start a war of the opinions but here we go so I really want a hummer H1 love the way they look and preform off-road I know they are slow and need a lot of attention , but I want to hear from the fellow JKU's what can I do to make my jeep as bad as a H1 off-road I know the obvious diesel motor onboard air compressor lockers. I have 3 1/2 inch lift now with trail grappler 35s 3:73 gears, automatic, that posi crap for the rear end tru lock or what ever. And I am in the process of adding the winch if I keep it.

what would you use it for? one of the h1's best features is how high the drivetrain sits compared to the body, there is virtually nothing under it to get snagged on a rock or whatever you would be climbing since everything sits so high. have you ever driven one?

No I haven't driven one yet that would be my 1st step I would climb a little not very much though on rocks it would be in the mud and snow I would daily drive it about 40 miles round trip everyday 2 I have looked on autotrader and there are a lot of them in my price range I like my jeep but an H1 has always been my dream car has anyone ever owned one ?

I would suggest you drive one before you go any further. The H1 doesn't ride very well, does not drive very well and does not Handel very well. They are a bitch to work on and parts are not cheap either. Just a bad idea. There was a reason they stopped selling to the public and there is a reason the armed forces are doing retrofit to the old ones

While a JK is no gas sipper by any means once you have done a ton of mods, I can only imagine what the fuel cost would be for a H1.
I think you are comparing apples to oranges.
