What is the difference from the different stages?

Also what differentiates the a kit that is $4100 and one that is $4995?

I have a 2010 4door rubi with the RIPP supercharger. I got 17 mpg before and 21 mpg after installing it. Other than that it's stock for now.

I would bet 4100 - no intercooler. 4900 - intercooler.

What does an intercooler do? It's a pretty big difference in price so it must do a lot I suppose

Pressurized air has the tendency to get warm, warm air is less dense, and in turn produces less power. Buy cooling in the intake charge with an intercooler you'll dramatically change power level.

The two kits are Stage 1 and Stage 2

Stage1 is none intercooled and does not include a silencer - as the boosted air heats up the programming turns down the power a bit and the gas mileage is not as impressive.

Stage 2 is intercooled and comes with the BOV silencer - power remains more consistent throughout as air intake temps increase... Fuel mileage is reportedly higher consistently.

Heck any motor not designed for a boosted setup is not the best idea..

I'm new to the Jeep market (not so much Chrysler products,, just Jeep) but i highly doubt there are forged internals in our 3.8L .. Unfortunately for me i have an extended warranty so if i get one, i wont be getting one for a looong time.

With that said though i am in Green Bay enough that i may have to hit up Willjeepforfood someday and take a look at the setup.

Hey RIPP, not to highjack the thread but have you guys done anything like lowering the compression on the 3.8L, maybe a cam to complement the supercharger, and running a smaller pulley on the supercharger? If so what were the results?

While the engine may have not been designed around running a supercharger, there's enough Jk's running then to come to the conclusion that the ol' minivan motor can take it and is not going to blow up.
