2" Body Lift Install Question...Help
Planning on installing a Zone 2" BL tomorrow. So I've seen some install write ups that say it's as simple as jacking up each side, throwing in the pucks, bolting them in and that's it. But the official install instructions say you have to disconnect the battery, the airbag fuse, add an extension to the steering shaft u joint, mess with wire harnesses and a bunch of other stuff under the hood.
What's the real deal from someone who's actually installed a BL??? Can I just throw the 2" pucks in and not worry about this other stuff or will I be deploying an airbag in my face during install then destroying my steering shaft without the extension?

u need to follow the instructions that came with your BL - 1" BL will not require much extra (or at all) than just tossing in the pucks, but since urs is the 2" BL u will need to address the issues introduced with that lift. good luck on your proj!

Already have a 4" coil lift, but now with a winch, full size 37" spare, aftermarkets bumpers, etc, I've lost about an inch. Now I'm rubbing a tad even with flat fenders at full flex. Extra 2" body should net me around 5" total.

Auto or manual? You'll need more items than just the 2" pucks if that's what you want to do.
Your bumpers will stay in the same location though so if you're rubbing them, this body lift wont help unless you relocated the bumpers too. You're only gaining clearance at the top of the fenders and thats it. I'd just swap coils to a taller one if that's your issue. You're already at the height where you require new driveshafts and control arms (which you have I believe) so another 1-2" of coils wont change much and that's all you'll need. Generally with 2" of body lift you will need extensions on various parts. I had to disconnect the body from the chassis once before and 2" is a lot to move the body from what I saw, but there are a few who do it.
