just a quick comment on the BL's. there has been no definitive testing on whether the amount of added stress from the longer mounts is unsafe. i.e. germany will allow a 3" body lift, but only a minimal (i think 2") suspension lift. they are fanatic about safety.

don't get me wrong, i hate anything more than an inch, and an inch is only for getting that little bit of clearance for your tires. a 2 or 3" BL makes it look like your tub is hovering over your frame rails.

I havent seen any definitive tests either. So this is all my own opinion, free of charge. You get what you pay for, but I am just using my own best judgement and a tendency to err on the side of caution. I took enough physics/strength of materials/vibration isolation etc. classes to gag me. Everything i took and that we studied would indicate that extending the body bolt would cause a severe non linear increase of the stress placed on it in an accident/severe jarring situation.
Where would that transfer to? The holes in the body & frame it connects to (or it would just plain 'ol snap) Now, is the frame designed to take it? i dunno, but i would guess it would fair far better than some paper thin sheetmetal holes formed into the tub. Something is going to rip or snap, and personally i dont wanna be the guy skidding down the road in the tub, while the frame is back there *throws thumb over shoulder* somewhere already at a stop. Overcautious? maybe, but i can live with it.

Whether it's safe or not, I could really care less. As I said before, anything over an inch is just plain FUGLY!!

No WONDER my wife calls it "cute".

Oh wait, you're still talking about body lifts. Oops.
