Scott its an easy install...thought of doin it yourself...with help from other forum members...a shop in Tulsa was gonna install me a TF leveling kit for $475...its was first DIY mod Ive ever done...saved $350 bucks...

Agreed do it your self, if you don't have the hand tools, the jack and the stands needed use some of the saved install money to buy it. For 475 dollars you can get a lot of craftsman stuff, then you are a long way to saving money in the future.

the first jeep i ever worked on was my wife's 09 sahara. i did a TF leveling kit on it. followed the write up here and had no issues. a couple months later, she upgraded to a TF 2.5" BB and rubicon shocks and coils. again, followed the instructions and was good. almost 2 years later and im doing drive shafts, 4"+ lifts, flex arms, brake lines, you name it.
note: i have always been a DIY guy, so i felt comfortable from the beginning. the only reason to do not do this lift yourself is if you are either too busy, dont have the right tools, or no space for auto work. any of those reasons are valid in my book.

I paid $200 in labor. The shop took $140, off the price of the lift. It was the TF coil 2.5 w/ shocks which sells retail for 720.
So for 60 dollars it got done. Well worth it in my book.

Us Jeepers are always looking for something to wrench on, and will always help out a friend. Hit up your staging area, I'm sure you can coordinate a lift party, and there will always be someone local with the tools you're missing.
That said, it really only takes the basics for a BB....a floor jack, jack stands, and some wrenches and sockets. Mine was the first lift I'd ever put on, and it was cake. Even got the wife to help!

She's smart on wearing the glasses, nothing sucks more then dirt in the eyes. I do most of the work on the wife's jeep but I make her help, other wise I wont do it since it's not mine.
