3.5" is going to necessitate new driveshafts, very soon, as the pinion angles will destroy the CV joints. Figure another $1,000-1,200.00 to you lift cost. If you do plan on 3.5", do not cheap-out, it'll just ending up costing you more down the road.

Hey karl. I believe I've seen you say you have RK coils.. I was wondering which ones you have. Are they the 2 door specific 2.5 coils or before they specified them, so the 3.5 coils? Mine are the 2.5 before they specified and I'm running 37s as I believe you are too.

Mine are current 2.5" 2dr coils (04187?). I tucked 37's briefly but they're not a DD tire. The 2.5" is a better choice. My friend has the rk x factor 3.5" on his 4dr and it's great but there's so much adjustability and room for error. He's got 37's and trimmed flares.
Is it too late to tell the shop to forget it and you'll install your own kit? Depending on what you get, it's an afternoon install up to a full day.

The 'JK Show & Tell' sub-forum is full of huge picture threads with just about any lift/tire combo you could want. Wonder if that is why the blurb as you click into this modified area says not to start show & tell type threads here.

Suggest you step back and ask (or answer) a couple more basic questions. What do you plan to do with this Jeep? Rock crawling, getting the kids to school in foul weather, overlanding, getting to the hunting/fishing shack in the mountains, mud bogging, mall crawling, etc? Second, what size tires do you figure you need to do that? There isn't much advantage to a taller lift than is needed to clear the tires, and there are real expenses, as mentioned above, for going too tall. Knowing those things, experienced Jeepers (such as those above) can give you better advice about your lift (and tire) choices.

tire size
The answer for some the questions I plan on putting 35's on it
Rock crawling is not in my future
mud bogging and hunting, fishing is part of my life
I plan on keeping factory wheels I know I need inch and a half spacers
