Default 2.5" Lift Question

I went to my local installer today to order a lift/tires. Can you do a 2.5" lift with only Springs and Shocks (receipt did not say Kit just coils) and the Jeep still ride safe?

You will need new sway bar links for the rear. The rear get moved to the front. My kit also included a bracket for the rear track bar.
Look up a kit online and it should list all included parts.

Also what size tires are you going to run? You need to make sure you have the proper wheel backspacing or get a set of slavers.

That's why Iwas concerned. The place knows what they are doing and has a lot of great reviews. I didn't even think to question it before I left. I just noticed it when I looked at the receipt it says Coil Springs, Shocks, Labor, Tires. Nothing about a kit or sway bar links.

I have aftermarket wheels with the right backspacing (4.5) - going to be running 35's

It could just mean coil spring kit. What brand are you going with? How much was "the coil springs"?

Yeah I would double check with them for sure. You'll need bump stop extensions too.

Here is a kit. The control arms are not really needed by everyone though.

I saw the kit and thought that was what we were going to do but I think it is going to be - JK Wrangler, 2.5" Dual Rate Coil Set, 2-Door plus Billstein's... I sent them an email and will call tomorrow.

You might browse through the big MetalCloak thread and see if you can find the actual lift height you can expect from the coils, based on your current model/setup. It wouldn't be a bad idea to go ahead and price out all of the individual components in the full kit linked above, since more than likely you will end up there anyway.
