2.5" lift looks to big for 35's

My 35 km2's run small but the gap isn't too bad on my 2.5 lift and 1.25 rc body lift

I have 35"s and 3.21s and a 6-speed. Ya it's underpowered on the highway and off road I can only us 4-low or else I stall but that's just fine. Around town I compensate by shifting 500rpms higher if I feel I need too. But it's manageable as a daily driver. Don't let people scare you. If it was so bad you would see people downsizing all the time which is the exact opposite of what appears to be happening.
I appreciate the honest feedback! I guess it comes down to personal preference. Obviously there is no wrong answer, it just depends on driving style, location, etc. Because I was concerned about gearing in the first place I will be conservative as far as going with big tires and small gears. Unless I fall into a bucket of money soon (right?) more planning is in store before I begin.

I have been looking at a thread on here. Show your 35's or something like that. I have been seeing jeeps with 35's and the same 2.5" lift, my question is why does does it look like one jeep has more space betwwen the tire and finder than the other? My wife got me a 2.5 lift for Christmas an I was looking at 33's, now I think I might hace to much space between the fender and tire. Any one have pictures of a 2.5" lift with 33"s?

It can depend on the lift self. If it is a 2,5" BB, you will only het 2,5" of lift. It it is a 2,5" spring lift for a 2 door like Terraflex, you might get 3" of lift. If it is a 2,5" spring lift from Rock Krawler, you might end up with 3,5" of lift on a 2 door since they don't have a different lift for 2 door or 4 door Jeeps.
It is largely an issue you'll see with many suspension companies at this time that are trying to make coils cover multiple applications. Many are sacrificing to match two different weights (four door and two door). So on a four door you may sit a little lower or right on. Then that same kit on a 2-door will sit much taller. To avoid this and get a true lift height we have gone through and made everything vehicle specific. This helps reduce the gamble lift height game although yes some variation does occur.
Furthermore, final lift appearance will vary with accessories (weight), wheel width (wider wheel makes a tire appear less tall), fenders, and as stated before the tire manufactures true OD measurement.
