THanks all....the reason why i put Skyjacker kit in my option is so that i don't have to worry about the outcome (JK came with different shocks from factory, making the results vary from one JK to another). I know that i won't be using the relocation bracket from skyjacker, and i'll get an adjustable track bars (front and rear).

one more question: does anybody know the reliability of Skyjacker's Coil springs and NItro shocks? Will the spring sag over time (no aftermarket bumper or winch)? and is the Nitro shocks decent / good? (not one of the crap one).

thanks again for the help

I haven't heard anything bad any skyjacker kits ever, so You are probably safe to assume the JK kit is pretty good as well. not sure about the shocks, but I would make sure any shock you get is equal or better then the stock Rubicon shocks, b/c those stock rubi shocks are awesome! I have them on mine with the 2.5 TeraFlex BB (with extra 3/4" spacer in the front) with OEM shock extensions and I love it! Also didn't use the front bump-stop extensions either this time around, seems they were too long and limiting up travel like crazy! wheel it hard and often and it works very well. but the rubi shocks made a world of difference compared to stock X model shocks.

Good luck which ever lift you choose!

Yes, I believe the links on the rear are all the same. From what I can see they don't seem to limit travel too much. However, most three inch lift kits come with longer links so that makes me think that there must be a reason. The front is a whole different story but that won't affect you.

Well, I wouldn't be so quick to assume anything just yet. By the sound of things, bim6180 has about a specific problem and that's why he's asking.

Yes, the links are the same and if you could get your hands on a set of new longer ones, that would be beneficial especially on the trail. However, I just used the stock set when I was running the TeraFlex 2.5" BB and didn't have any problems with it.

Yeah..i asked that question becuase clearly their Lift Kit is not very well thought off. Look at how many broken rear trackbar bracket from this kit...THat's why it makes me wonder if the rest of the kit (ie coil and shocks) will have the same effect in the future.

I have an X, so i don't have the luxury of using RUBI shocks. WOL, have you tested the Teraflex shocks? are they equal or better the RUBI shocks? Also, on Teraflex, does the spacer is exactly 2.5" for both front and rear?

Thanks

Not on a JK I haven't but on a TJ, it seemed to ride well if not a little on the firm/stiff side of things. Depending on who you are, this may be a benefit or a drawback.

As far as the spacers go, yes, they measured 2.5" both front and back so you will still have a slight factory rake when all is said and done. If you've seen doojers pics, that's what it'll look like and in my opinion, it looks great

WAYOFLIFE... What lift are you running now??? and what size tires..?
I am wanting to lift mine 2-3", but I am only running 33's.. I am/was leaning towards the Skyjacker kit, but have been reading all the posts about the welds breaking etc.

This is stupid, but I have the Flame Red JK and want the springs and long arms etc to be RED..!!

Thanks Sam

WOL is running the FT 3" Ultimate on 35's. But, if you are going 33's, the 3" lifts out there are probably more than you need-- you can actually squeeze 35's under the 2.5" with only minor rubbing. As far as red coils and springs go... I would not make a decision based on that. There's always paint.

If you want to see what the Skyjacker lift looks like with 33's, check out Jeephrog's gallery.

Thanks. I really don't want a Mushy ride... jeep suppose to be firm right As far as rake, my JK X is not that bad, so it should look fine
