Default 2.5 lift issues

So after all of the discussions had with me involving my Rough Country 2.5'' lift having floating steering and crappy suspension, I have done the following:

4 Bilstein 5100's on the way.
2 Bilstein steering dampers (hopefully they will fit on the RC dual steering stab brackets)...if anyone can answer that it would be great!
2 Adjustable LCA's (Hoping to get a good alignment out of this)

Any thoughts or comments on this approach?

Trying to fix soft suspension, body roll and crappy steering.

The front lower adj. control arms should help with the floaty steering, you can dial in your castor. The stabilizers should work but if not just go with one and sell the other. Those are great shocks so you ride should improve.

Thanks, I went with the dual because I have dual RC mounting kit already installed and I'm hoping the stabilizers will simply bolt back on using the same hardware. I read that alot of people get their steering pulling to the left or right while using one GAS charged Bilstein stab and two will counter act that issue.

Any comments on that?

The floaty steering will have little to do with your steering stabilizer. Whether you run one or two it won't make much of a difference. As others probably told you, flighty steering is almost always a caster issue so the adjustable lower arms will make a world of difference for you

Other things to keep in the back of your mind if the lower arms don't fix it completely would be ball joints that have gone bad and possibly your drag link. I fought with loose and flighty steering even with a full adjustable setup and aligned properly and that's when I found my draglink bolt on knuckle had wobbled out and was loose. Once I tightened it, steering was perfect. No flightiness.....until it came loose again. So Reid knuckles, and draglink flip....all better now!

That's odd. I have a 4" RC lift and have no issues what so ever. I think it's a little top heavy feeling since I still have stock rims and tires (waiting on custom Forgiatos and Trail Grappers). But other than going up 4 and not going out 3 with less offset or spacers, I think the ride is pretty damn good for an otherwise cheap lift.

I have the same lift on for about a year and dont seem to have some of these issues.
Did you get an adj. track bar to go with it?
I have it with my lift and the ride is smooth.
Also as others have mentioned check the ball joints.

My JK handled worse with 2 stabilizers.

I have a FOX SS not currently installed.

Set up right with no bad/worn components should handle fine without one.

X2 on this. If set up right, you don't even need one. Just get a single.

X2 on checking the ball joints, tie rods and everything else down there to make sure they are good!

+1 on the Drag link. Make sure you get that Allen wrench in the bottom of the bolt so you can crank on the nut on both ends of the drag link. If you dont have the Allen wrench the bolt will keep spinning when you try and tighten. THIS WILL CAUSE LOOSE STEERING.
