2.5" Lift Comparison
I was comparing two lift kits for my '09 2 door JK:
Teraflex 2.5" Budget Boost w/ shocks- ~$470
Old Man EMU 2.5" Suspension Lift- ~$650
I was wondering which one would be better for me, since ill be going with 35" tires and not heavy offroading. The OME comes with shocks, but the Teraflex doesnt. So would i need to buy new shocks, or is the Teraflex lift a perfect start for my truck?

your setup
Here comes the Rough Country Club. LMAO!
Check out Rough Country's 2.5" kit too. Very simple and perfect if you're not planning on doing a whole helluva lot of offroading. Its $300 with shocks and springs (good shocks btw) and it'll give you plenty of room for those 35s you're lusting after.
If you have other questions about it you can search my user name or you can search "Rough Country" and you'll come up with lots of good info.
The TF and OME lift are a little overload if you're not doing much offroad.

Another Rough Country customer, this time a 2-door. Running 285/75/16 on stock wheels with the 2.5" Coil and Shock lift, absolutely no rubbing or issues. Also ask for the 10% JK-Forum discount, that took care of the shipping cost for me.

I have lifted several with the spacers and had lots of complaints. Almost all have changed to a spring kit to be satisfied. I just lifted mine with the Rancho 3" coil lift, it was only $4?? without shocks. Total with shocks was less than $600. It takes about 6-8 hours to install (novce lifer, 4 if ur good) but it is well worth it. Here are some pics of mine with 35's. Just a good of a ride as stock, if not better.
