There are a lot of threads on this but you'll need to give more info for a good answer.

Auto or manual?

What are your current gears?

I've stock wheels and 35's on my JK with 2.5"spacers in the front and no lift in the rear. The front tires rub on the sway bar when I turn and rears rub on the pinch seam in front if the tire. I also cut my rock sliders about 1.5" because the tires rubbed them too.

Would just like to say 35s will easily fit with a 2.5 in lift. The rubbing would come from the stock rim backspacing. You can get some good deals on rims if you buy them with the tires.

Now before you get to far into the tire size/gear debates, keep in mind the main loss is due to the increased tire weight. For every pound you go up (per tire) is like 10 lbs of cargo. I went up about half an inch in tire size so I should not have seen a difference. However the weight went up 17 per tire. Do the math 17x10 =170 x 4 tires, that's 680 lbs of cargo. I saw a big loss. Just something to keep in mind.

I think your jeep has 3.73's in it. A quick google search would clarify that though.

You'll want to regear if you go 35's. There are many threads on the forum with this information. Search on 'regear' and you will find a ton of information.

Good luck.

I also have 35's on my '07 Sahara and the only time I feel it like I need more power is going up hills on the highway or trying to pass someone on the highway. But if you take overdrive off it does fine. Just don't be in a hurry.
