Default The 1st Aftermarket JK Front/Rear Bumpers & Rocker Guards

Of course, they're being made and sold by MOPAR but I suppose it still counts  Here's a few pics taken from an article in the October issue of 4 Wheel Drive & Sport Utility Magazine:

Does the rear bumper turn back into the fender flare?? I guess that would make a nice step, but I don't know if it would be my first pick for a bumper. Still I suppose it is an improvement over the stock one.

Yeah, I think MOPAR was trying to get the rear bumper to wrap around and then come up flush to the fender flares. And, by the looks of it, I suppose it would make a decent step too but like you, it sure wouldn't be my first pick. Plus, they way they lower the spare and have the bumper notched out in the center to accomodate it, I'd have to wonder how large of a tire you could put on it anyway.

The article says that bumper will accomodate up to a 35" tire.

I guess mom's Sahara HAS to come with the goofy step for mall crawling. Wish it was a-nothanks option. Have a LOD rear bumper w/o the wrap around just in case I want to cut the fenders. LOVE IT!
