Default 17" wheel with good backspacing for 35's

Hey guys - i'm trying to determine which wheels I want to go with to pair with my GY MTR/k's once I get them.

A guy from my local shop recommends I go with a 17x9, and I've also heard i want to stick with about a 4.5" backspace but having a little difficulty finding that. The procomp wheel I really like is 4.75" backspacing for their 17x9 - would that be too much backspacing? I see a lot of people run the XD addict and that's about 4.5" backspacing, which may be an option.

Are there any other good recommended 17" wheels with a good backspacing? Other information you might need to know is i'm going with a RK 3.5" max travel lift on a 4 door rubicon.

I've been super happy with my 17x8.5" MB 72's. I had the same issue that you did. These wheels are flat black, of a soft 8 design, but aluminum so they're light. Affordably priced and easy to get at discount tire.

No complaints here.

I would try to stick with something 4.5" or less. However, I don't think .25 inches would be much of a problem.

I have AEV wheels. 17x8.5, +10mm offset, 5.2" backspacing. Plus they are hub centric.

Rugged ridge 17x9 are basically 4.5" backspacing. Hub centric and clean up pretty well.

We have 35" tires on 17x9 ProComps with 4.75 backspacing and zero rubbing with room to spare on a 3.5 AEV lift.
