Default 16" Wheels on a '13 Rubi?

I've called two reputable off road/tire companies and got conflicting information. I've got a new wheel in mind (Procomp 7028 16x8) and one is telling me he has run 16's on a '12 JK. The other is saying the rear calipers on '07 and on JK's won't fit in the 16.

Does anyone have 1st hand experience with this or can say with any certainty 16's will work?

Thanks for any input

Base models come with 16" wheels, easy way to find out go to discount tire and have one test fit.

He's right.

I have heard of some cast aluminum 15's needing a little caliper clearance (grinding on the caliper) but never a 16.

I have 16x8 racelines rims on my 2013 jku. they have 4.5" backspacing and no issues at all.

Most 15" wheels fit.

The issues come into play with some of the Steel wheels' welds on the insides coming into contact with the caliper.

15" aluminum wheels are good to be used.

You'll be fine with any 16" wheels you choose.

Thanks to all, that's all good stuff. Sometimes hard to decipher the mixed information out there.

Especially helpful to hear jadmt since it's model match and he's having no issues.
thanks again

x2! Hit the nail right on the head.

Most 16" wheels will fit 2007+ JK's steel wheels seem to be where issues happen more often.

Here's a link to info on running 15" wheels in a JK. https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/spon...-steel-120933/
