16" vs 17" Wheels
Title says it all. What is everyone's opinion and preference. I'm hearing 17" are better then 16" . This is with 35" km2's. Id like to know for sure before I switch out my order. Thanks!

just to throw another number into the mix... i went with 15's for more sidewall to... in theory... be able to air down lower... i went with 10" wide so if i do blow a bead i am going with staun internal beadlocks

I went with 16's based on price, tires were $40 cheaper each for 16's vs. 17's it cost me a little more this time since I had to buy wheels but should save me money in the long run. Performancewise I don't think there is a big enough difference to worry about for most people, 17's will give a slightly better ride on the street and 16's will flex a little better on the trail.

I have 15's on my current jeeps as there were more tire choices at the time, but when the JK comes, I want to run 37s and will see what tire choices are out there for the 16" and 17" wheels first.

If you want the best offroad performance then go with a smaller rim and taller tire, but if you're after asthetics, then go with 17's. With 35's, I think 17's are the perfect size for the JK.

Tires arrived today balanced and all that good stuff. They look really good on a 16" rim. I think im going to stick with the 16" for bigger side wall and better air down. Thanks guys for the info!
