15" wheels
Is there anything special to know when putting 15" wheels on a JK? Are they all the same (i.e. X, Sahara, Rubicon) as far as brake size? I know the Sahara comes with larger stock wheels optional, but I think it still has 17" standard so I wouldn't think the brakes on it would be any bigger than the Rubicon.
I've seen a few guys here runnin' 15" wheels, but didn't realize they'd fit.
Is there any certain backspacing needed to run 15's? Any certain wheels that will or will not fit? Any advantages/disadvantages to think of before putting them on?
Thanks for the input.

The brakes are the same on all models. There are some 15's which will pose a problem, but I know some have just ground down the caliper a little for clearance. Some 15's seem to work fine. Try doing some searches to see what brands work and what don't w/o mods.

welp.
I think my final decision is this.. the 15x8 pro comp wheels and im going with the 35" cooper discoverer STT tires. I just installed a 2.5 spacer kit with the 2.2 shocks. According to the popular opinion I shouldnt have any rubbing on the brakes with the back spacing on those wheels and I may/ may not have some well rubbing with those tires with a full flex or stuff. If I do end up with tire rubbing it should be correctable with a small body lift. That help you any?

I am also leaning towards the black pro comp.
I'm a noob. So forgive this next question...
How do I know what size tire will fit the 10x8 wheel?

ha me to..
i used to be more into mechanics back in high school 10 years ago and im just forcing myself back into it, so i myself am calling myself a newb. the easiest way to find out about the tire wheel combo woul be to call some place or go to a tire store and ask. or you could call discount tire direct. They are very helpful over the phone and they will match any price and you get the puncture gaurantee. I was goingg to go with a 33 but opted for the 35 seeing how everyone always says they wish they would have went for it. The tires i want in 33's are only 10 dollars more per tire in 35's. Might as well right?
