15 inch wheels?? On 2011 jk unlim???
Sorry if this topic was already covered I noticed the 15 in wheels post but just too many pages to look through. I just recently bought a new jk noticed people are running 15 inch wheels on the 2010s but I was told the new jeeps with the tire pressure monitoring systems can't run 15 inch wheels due to the fact that the sensors don't fit right just wondering if there was any truth behind this I have a extra set of 33s from my xj I would like to put on but I will need a set of 15 inch wheels any one have any knowledge of this it would help if someone was running 15s on a 2011 and could help me out with backspacing for caliper clearance issues also. Yep, with 15's it's all about the backspacing. You need to get the wheel out far enough to clear the calipers. Anything over 4, expect to trim them. 4 may be hit or miss. 3.75 is pretty safe.
As far as the tpms goes. Do you really want it? Those sensors are easy to break, and they get very expensive to keep replacing. Go with rubber stems and grab a ProCal or Flashpaq to turn the system off.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the help last thing can anyone tell me is an 8 or a 10 inch wheel better for 12.50 width tires? And with a 3.75 back spacing on the wheel how far will the tires stick out from the fenders and will a stock jk clear 33s with that

8" rim will help keep the bead set if you air down.
Here is mine with 3.75" backspacing on 33x12.5 Duratracs. They stick out quite a bit, but I love the wider stance.

I'm running 35x12.50-15 KM2's, with Cragar 15x8" Soft 8's, with 4" of B.S. I had to trim the front caliper carriers just a bit. There's a bar that runs across the outside of these that the inner wheels were riding on. Overall, I like them, and the package was quite a bit less expensive than 16" or 17" wheels & tires...

Either width will work. For offroad, the 8 may be better though. (people say it helps keep the tires on the rims when aired down). But if you plan on going wider in the future, the 10's would obviously be better.
Stock BS is 6.25". So 3.75's will be about 2.5" further out per side.
Plus half the new tire width difference. Stocks are 10". New is 12.5". So 1.25" on either side of the tire.
So the outsides of the tires will be appx 3.75" further out than the stock tire/rim combo.

You guys are the best, is anyone running 33s on a stock jk I was thinking about a leveling kit I'm just worried about voiding the warranty I have an xj I built for off road so the jk will see little to no trail use any one know anything on the warranty issues people are having???
