15" Cragers arrived = arghh, the calipers rub

Dang I should pay more attention.
Another question. Later on down the road when I have to put new brake pads in, I should probably "recheck" fitment due to the pads being newer and thus thicker than what I have now? Meaning the caliper is push out more, or is this another bad assumption?
Are the calipers as wide/open as they are gonna get regardless of how much brake pad is worn away?

I know this an old thread, but I just put pro comp series 52 15×8 wheels with 3.75bs on. They fit on the rear just fine, no issues. The front rubbed (barely) on the calipers. Took a grinder to front calipers and they fit just fine. I hardly took any off the calipers. I wouldn't use spaces when grinding 1/16" will work.

It seems a lot of guys went the 'grind" route and are happy. I must say, prior to posting this last night I would have thought it was nuts to grind down the calipers but the feeback I am getting is that it is "no big deal".. So what did you use to grind them? I don't happen to have a belt grinder in my arsenal of tools - will one of those drill grinder bits work?

I have 15" Pro Comp's with 3.75" of backspacing... they clear pretty well but it is tight. I also used hammer on weights. That said, rubbing them on rocks, I'll get an imbalance once in a while.
