Default 15" or 16" rims

I am going 33x12.5x??? with Cooper STT. I will be putting them on Cragar Soft 8. I now understand the 8" vs 10" question but does it matter 15R vs 16R.

The 15R are cheaper.

There's a good possibility the 15s wont fit. They will rub on your break callipers,

he's right, and if I recall it was the 15" steel ones that dont... the welds hit the calipers...

16" will fit for sure

The 16s have 5" bs so they won't really work either. Did some people say that they ground down the caliper or am I hallucinating.

Do some more searching on hear on what 15's work. I have american racing ar-23 15x10 with 3.75" backspacing; they're close but they fit well. The only good things about the 15's are that they are cheaper, more tire for the rocks and you can sometimes find tires for cheaper than ones that are for 16's

Yeah - people ground down the calipers where they rubbed on the 15" rims, to clearance them.

As mentioned...SOME 15's do not have the reenforcement ribs, etc, protruding inboard where the brakes are..and clear w/o grinding at all.

Based upon searching for hours on this forum and going to Cragar's site this is what i have come up with:

The cragar 15" wheel that will fit are the:

365 Series Black V-5 Part Number: 365-5850
which is a 15x8 with 19mm offset and 3.75 bs on a 5x5 pattern

352 Series Black Street Lock "D" Window Part Number:3525850 New part number 1527550014B

which is a 15x8 with 19mm offset and 3.75 bs on a 5x5 pattern

The following will not work. The 397 Series Black Soft 8 only has 13mm offset and will cause problems with the calipers.

I have now requested a quote from Travis at Discount Tire Direct on the two viable options. I sure hope that i am right.

I am not sure what model I have but I do know I have Cragar soft 8 15x8 and it has 4" bs. I have had no problems with mine.

My preference would be the 16's, however if you find 15's that fit then it is really subjective based on what you're doing with the Jeep, and the wheel/tire look you prefer.
