Default 1 3/4" toed out

What would cause this? Some background on my Jeep:

It's been garaged for months due to death wobble caused by a busted track bar bracket. Finally found a mobile welder recently to weld on my new HD bracket. I also just took delivery of a Synergy tie rod since it's pretty much the only part of my suspension that was still stock. As far as I know the stock tie rod wasn't bent. With both tie rods I cannot get the wheels toed in. The new tie rod is just about as short as it can get and my wheels are toed out about 1 3/4".

What could be causing this? My stock ball joints seem fine. There is no play in them. Could it be a bent axle? Knuckles bent? Anything else it could possibly be? I do have some Synergy ball joints I could install but was going to wait until the stock ones kicked the bucket.

How do you know it's off that much? did you measure yourself or did you have the alignment checked?

If you measured this yourself, how did you do it?

I measured it myself. Used a tape measure on the front and back of the tire and measured from sidewall to sidewall.

Thanks for the helpful input.

Doesn't make sense. Both joints are screwed all the way in ? The threads on the Synergy joint & adjuster sleeve are both left hand. If there's threads showing on the sleeve but not the joint ... It will not adjust in.

Pretty much. There are a few threads left on each but not enough to get it toed in I think. I haven't torqued the jam nuts down yet but I'll snap some pics.

You might have enough threads there. Remember toe is measured at the sidewall, much farther out from the knuckle. A small change at the knuckle is a bigger change at the sidewall. (You don't need an inch change on the rod to gain an inch of toe adjustment.)

Another thought... If the jam nuts are still loose maybe you can just spin the rod to take up that slack at the joints without unbolting the rod? I haven't handled a synergy tie rod so not sure.

I'll try going all the way then. Seems like something is off though if I have to fully screw in the TREs and the adjustment sleeve.

forgive my ignorance, the TRE above the one you're working on. it seems a little full? are they that shape? If "A" and "B" make "contact" will the boot burst? the arrow is pointing to some grease that might of squirted out already? Im really sry to point this out im just wondering for future installs. Again if im wrong my apologies.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think it's a problem. Any excess grease will get squeezed out. And that's the drag link so I don't believe it sees much abuse.

I'm wondering though if I was supposed to install it flipped on top. I'm not able to install my new steering stabilizer because the drag link interferes with both mounting holes.
