Yeah, it's definitely about key cycles to reset the PCM. In the Chrysler study guide I have it states 40 on/off cycles. That's a ton and I have also used some on ramp WOT runs to hasten the process, turning the vehicle of after each one.

If I go to the dealer I never leave a tune installed. A slow day and they flash your pcm with the latest updates trying to do you a favor leaving you hosed and opening a can of worms with the dealership, let alone the manufacturer of the programmer.
