Default 09 Auto Regear any thought?

Want to get my 09 Jk regeared for 35 in wranglers. It's a automatic with 3:73 currently. I'm stuck between 4:88 or 5:13. Let me know what ya'll think. Thanks

5.13 for 35s , but people will start saying that 4.88 are better because of strength

I run 5.13 with my 37s

I would go 5.13...the performance will be good and you can go up to 37's if you ever wanted.

I did my 2011 and 2007 both in 5.13's and never had a problem with strength, but always thought I should have gone with the 4.88's as the RPM on the highway was a little to high for me at 75.

But what a ride around town.....

RPMs with Our 2010 auto with 34s is 2400 at 70 mph. We are almost all city.

They don't make them for the d30 fronts anymore, it would have to be part of a d44 swap. I agree with you though. I went to 5.13 and then on to 5.38 after replacing my tweaked 30.

Also have '09 automatic and went with 4.88 and love the on and off-road improvement with my 33's. Will be going to 35's since the new tires will likely yield out around 34 inches. MPG improved slightly, too. Also did TrueTrac's at the same time...they're awsome, too.
