Hello everyone!! Names Ryan, After a couple great years of riding my stock 3.8 is starting to give. I picked up a 5.3 LMG LS (2011 suburban) with matching auto trans and im looking to do a full swap using motecs well regarded kit. If anyone has done what im doing feel free to give any tips!!! (I'm doing this mostly alone) My first road block is axles, I've decided I'm going to need Dana 60's at minimum (going 38's)(Pro rocks are best option at the moment but my wallets isnt a fan) I was thinking of sourcing local one tons and rebuilding but from what I've heard it can cost just as much as buying a new set. It may sound dumb but are there ever promos on axles lol I'm a 22 year old in college and i need to make this happen! Also looking for any input on suspension setups! Goal is 5.3L swap, motec kit, hydraulic motor mounts, King coilovers?, Dana 60's (or equivalent), 38 beadlocks, atlas tcase!!!! Im going to make a full build thread when i take some real pictures, but till then any help is awesome thanks!!!!
