Looking for some advice on what oil to use for the summer!

5w20 or 5w30. i personally use 5w30 all year.

Reasons? Just looking for what's going to be best for performance and the life of the motor

the 3.6 was designed with these perticular oil weights in mind. the vvt and oil passages are designed to work within specific flow rates / viscositys. thicker is generally better for protection up to a point. also if you still have a warentee you want to run what they recomend so they cant try and use it aginst you should something fail.

Mobil 1 5w20. I've always liked Mobil 1 oil, and 5w20 is what Jeep calls for.
