So if i get the lift im looking at getting more things for the jeep so its not fallig apart on me down the road. All this is extremely helpful cause not knowing i can throw on 33's and no rub on stock jk makes me wonder i i should get the lift and the other hal of me is saying just get the lift do the 35's but then again with it being my everyday driver im lookin at getting new gears im sure for 35's and def doing the DS. Its not as easy as i thought it would be . I looked up the specs on the one that you sent me above looks like a sweet deal, what else did you get that didnt cone with the kit ?

There are other considerations, so you need to look at the big picture. What is the actual 'measured' height/width of the new tires compared to the stock 32's. And are the taller/wider tires still on the stock rims? Taller/wider tires on stock rims may rub inside the wheel well - so new rims with less backspace (or wheel spacers) are desireable. Will you be disconnecting, and are you using stock flares? Disconnecting will affect uptravel and might bring the new, taller, tires up into the stock flares.

Many, many people are running 33's with no lift, and having no issues at all. Just pointing out that there are a few things to consider.

And I'll x2 your other half!! Get the 35's, get the lift, swap the driveshaft if and/or when you have an issue. You can run stock gears fine until you save up enough money, it will just be kinda gutless. (or more gutless, I should say...)

Ok now after givig this some thought im definately going to do the lift which one? Im still doing the research. Im a hundred percent doing 35's now. I found out i cant do the mickey classic II if i dont lift it because the backspace cannot be more then 4". I want the mickey wheels bad so if im gonna do anything i have to do what i want rsther then regreting it down the road i didnt get the one i wanted. Does anyone have any pics of my year jk with a three or four inch lift with 35's. I really would like to see how its looks. I know what tires and wheels i want ow its all down to the lift and what extras i would need and how much it would cost me. If you guys wanna keep givig your insight its greatly appreciated. In a month or so im going to get it and ill be posting pics of it up of before and after and during installation process. Thanks for the opinions everyone and keep them coming i could use it. Its all helpful.

Go down to JK Show & Tell. There is an index stickied at the top.

For the components you will want, open the faq's at the top of this modified area. Among other things, you will find a list of suggested components for various lift heights.

One thing you have to think about is how it is going to Handle after the lift and with different tires in snow and mud and even on wet roads.

This will all change for you and if you are not use to driving with a lifted jeep or truck you will learn fast that you can't drive as fast as you think you can in those different conditions.

Just don't do a lift because it looks cool-have a purpose behind or it can cause problems for you.

This is a descent kit for the price

http://www.northridge4x4.com/proddet...rod=TF-1251002

will give you 3in of lift, enough to run 35's

Tons of people have run this kit with no issues
actually, for the same cash, get the 4 door version... slightly more robust. here's before and after with the TF 4dr 2.5" coil lift with shocks, both with 33" tires. I got about 3.5" out of front and ~3 in the rear. killer lift, for the price... for a daily driver.

and yes, least lift as posible to accomodate the tires you want to run.

Yea im willing to sacrifice things its ok. Speed isnt a huge deal to me anymore haha. High school days are over for me, when my midlife crisis comes then ill just buy another vehicle but ive wanted a jeep since i was 16 and my brother never gave me his 95 jeep and sold it for 3 grand to some shmuck so im glad i have mine now and im not the dude that does it to look cool but to enjoy it. Its been a long time coming and now that i have it i am beyond pumped to get the things i want done to it and enjoy the hell out of it.

Instead of just asking for advice on lift after lift after lift, look past the cheap price tags and get a handle on what all of the different components do, so you can narrow down the choices.

Caster : stock arms, longer/shorter fixed arms, cams, ca relo brackets, adj ca's?
Axle centering : stock trackbars, relo brackets, adj trackbars?
Steering angles : stock setup, trackbar bracket w/drop pitman, some type of flip kit, etc.?
Swaybar leveling : stock links, longer fixed links, adj links, anti-rock, etc.?
Extended bumpstops?
Extended brake lines or brackets?
Adj arms to set the pinion for a new driveshaft?

At what heights will you start wanting or needing any of this?

Again, start with knowing what is in each kit and having some idea of how it will function so you can have some kind of clue as to why people are suggesting certain lifts, or pointing you away from others.
