***Goodyear MTR/Kevlar or BFG MTR KM2's***

There is a recent thread on this exact topic which includes a poll. The KM2 won the poll but not by a large margin.
Both are quality tires, but it depends on your needs and taste.

Generally, the MT/R are not mud tires, but they work well in rocks.
The BFG's work well in rocks, but are also better in the mud....but neither tire excels in the mud compared to a dedicated mud tire.
So, the BFG edges the MT/R in performance.
I have not seen a large enough sample size to really know which will last longer, but it looks like the MT/R, so far, might have the edge as a street tire.

One thing to consider is the Goodyear runs more true to size than the KM2. So the 35" (depending on psi) runs more like a 33.5" for the KM2...speaking from experience.

I really wanted the MTR's myself, but they are on back order for the size I wanted - 315/75/R16. I had to settle for the KM2's. The Toyos were another option, but I didn't really want the Load Range E. As others have mentioned, you probably can't go wrong with either.

I debated the same thing, and decided on the MT/R. What pushed me over the edge was talking to the guys at local 4x4 shops (who do not sell tires). More of them were suggesting the MT/R. Like others have said, both are good tires.

Depends on what you wheel. How much road time.
BFG M/T = Mud Tire
GY MT/R = Multi Terrain Radial(Or something like that).
The MT/R is not a mud tire technically. It is an all around off road tire that does work in the mud but not as well as a dedicated mud tire. Both are great off-road.
