KS/MO-Tuttle Creek head count
Just trying to get an idea of how many are heading up to Tuttle Creek this weekend. I'm going Saturday (depending on the weather) and possibly Sunday. Not sure how my crappy tires are going to hold up if it's wet though. If only the IRS would come through and put that cash in my account sooner.

kC Jeep club is doing a Jeep 101 on Saturday and open trails on Sunday. You dont need to be a member but your jeep does need to meet their requirements (found on their website). we talked about it a little in the Olathe thread.

I'm not sure about the Missouri run but you don't have to be a member for the run up to Tuttle Creek. I would think most clubs wouldn't mind having you along even though you're not a member. That's one of the best ways for them to get new members.

Here's a link to the KC Jeep Club forum topic on this trail run.
Is your Jeep ready to hit the trails?
The following equipment is MANDATORY for KC Jeep Club events:
* Front and rear tow hooks should be properly mounted to the frame with grade-eight bolts. Drawbars or receiver hitches are acceptable as an alternative to rear tow hooks.
* All open-topped vehicles, including older models (CJs, Scramblers, and Willys), must have mandatory roll bars.
* A full-size spare tire. In case of puncture, a space-saver spare (donut) won't do.
* If your Jeep does not have the mandatory equipment, you will be turned away at the trailhead.
The following is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED:
* Skid plates covering the oil pan, gas tank, and transfer case.
* Rock rails for Jeep Liberty, Cherokee, and Grand Cherokee.
* Heavy-duty, 20'-long nylon tow straps (20,000 pound minimum) with looped ends (no hooks). Tow straps with metal hooks will not be permitted.
* A CB Radio. It is the only way to communicate with trail leaders and fellow members on trails.
* Fire extinguisher.
* First aid kit.
* A toolbox with basic tools for repairs.
Other Items to Bring
*
Pack a lunch and some snacks.
*
Bring plenty of water.
