Im IN !

Just gotta figure out if we book full hook ups (dont need 'em) or just the primitive (all i need is electric) site.
If anyone is booking a cabin let me know - we'll consider getting as close as possible (primitive rv?).

I'm staying in the cabin. Not going to have my wife and little girl with me but a buddy of mine should be with me. I don't really do the whole go out and eat thing when I'm at HF so I'm sure we will be cooking on the pit all weekend. I am also planning to bring a big stack of firewood for the fire pit at the cabin.

do you know which cabin (yet) ? It will be myself, Super Stroked (Matt) and possibly one if not both of my boys (19 & 20) who are home from college (theyre well behaved & can carry on an intelligent conversation)

same here, once we pull in, we dont leave....we have all the comforts of home (and then some)....we grill & imbibe right where we sleep & park.

Any advice about the park from anyone here would be appreciated....

since it wont be hot, we wont need a 50a connection (fact of the matter is i can get away w/ a 15a in a pinch), but a 30a connection is plenty.

generally i like to have some knowledge of the over head clearance (trees wires etc) and like to know how wide & deep the rv slots are...i dont mind backing in, but prefer at least 14 feet of over head clearance, 45 feet of depth and 20 feet of width, plus some room for the jeep(s).

is the A area RV less dusty ? How level are the A & B areas ? (sounds like A might have concrete pads).

I think generally Super Stroked (matt) & i would prefer to be closer to the group & evening activities rather than further away.

Matt & I were discussing it last evening (while replacing the muffler on his 'yoga 4x4 truck)...its likely we would head up 1st thing FRIDAY, run some trails during the day & then head back sometime sunday.

They only have one cabin and it is located in area B. The RV areas are pretty nice for an Offroad park. Shouldn't have any clearance or parking issues in either area A or B. Without any rain the park as a whole will be pretty dusty. This will be my second trip to the park and I stayed in the cabin last time as well. Area B is right by all of the trail heads so it makes for a pretty convenient staging spot.

Oh, and from what I can tell the park is very family friendly. The staff does a great job of keeping things safe for any age group.

I'll be heading up Friday also.

The park staff are very nice and I'm sure they could answer your questions regarding the available hookups. I have always talked with Brett.

Looks like they are about to have a few more cabins to rent. When I was there in September they just had the one cabin.
