Don't know how specific you wanted.... but yes, it was answered. Unlimited or not, open diffs are open diffs... You'll be fine, just be sure and have someone with you just in case you need a tug. We had a stock JK Islander unlimited with flats and 35's follow me around pretty much all day. IF he could do them, you will be able to. Majority of the trails are kinda tight in spots so a 2 dr makes stuff look easy that us unlimited have to do a little finesse to go around.

Yall have fun and keep the shiny side up.

...best time I've had on BB was this summer in the pouring rain. It's a completely different animal with coated tires and wet rock. Ran it with a guy in a dedicated yoda. Absolute blast until I slid into a tree going up snoopy falls east and ripped my top.

So here's a dumb question...what do y'all mean by "Open Diffs"? Are you talking about lockers?

Not a dumb question. Open diff is not having any way of locking the axles together, i.e. lockers, limited slip.

limited slip is diffrent- if one wheel lifts all the power goes there and not to the one with contact. with a locker, both wheels turn with the driveshaft.

unlimiteds have more wheel base...theres a reason people stretch 2 doors.

I just wanted to spark something in people. I know I live pretty far from marble falls and I'd love to meet a lot of y'all and have a great time. I know I'm planning on a spring trip to HF. Is there any way we may be able to have a weekend where people meet up there? Maybe make it a potluck for food/ drinks? Ill always have my family with me but I don't have a club I belong to or anything like that. Just would like to have a date where people could all meet and greet. If anyone has a date we can agree with I'd be in for it!

That would be awesome. The last meet up was while I'm at work and I'd love to meet up with some Jeepers. I will be there the weekend of the 23rd and possibly a few days before that I hit a trail or two. I live in Austin and a good friend of mine's mom is in Smithwick... I'm helping her get ready to rebuild her house (100% loss in a recent fire, lost a few animals but no people were hurt), I'll be digging and moving rocks. But, I'll be doing some of the lvl 1 and 2 trails (most likely by myself, unless I run into someone on the trail!) I have a year membership and should have some waivers in my car for people.

For those worried about stock rubi's... I've done quite a few of the trails in my '13 JKUR when I'd met up with a few others, including what i was told was one level 5. Lots of rubbing on the undercarriage and a few close calls narrowly avoiding some nasty tree scrapes. I had to get pulled off one obstacle after getting myself high centered, but I don't mind the scrapes... If I break something, I'll replace it with something stronger:-D

The weekend of March 16th also looks like a great weekend for me if people can't make it on the 23rd.
