Yeah....I drank too much and slung mud around and acted like a jackass when I was a kid. No need for it now. My kids love jeepin on the rocks and i think the way we do it in the hills has a lot to do with it. And SuperStroked is exactly right, HF and DSO are two completely different scenes. But there is no need to insinuate that those of us who work 70-80 hours a week and raise kids care more about waxing our jeeps than running them, some just save it up for what we like.

I agree. Mud is fun every now and then....

But on a side note.. I did finally wash and even WAXED the Jeep yesterday. First wash since last September and first wax since..... Well 2010. Hahaha. Even buffed the soft top windows to get the sun fade out of em. I can see out of them now. Found a bit more rock rash on the rims ounces all the dirt was removed. Did find one major oops... My rear sway bar upper link bolt managed to grab the rear brake line. Luckily, it didn't break when I bent it back. Where my thumb is in the pic is where the spot where my index finger was at.

Hidden falls is the shit! Unfortunately I am in abilene. It's a hike and well worth the drive when I can find time away from work. I am looking forward to going back in the spring sometime. Maybe we can all try to hook up?

Here in abilene my son and I do this...http://youtu.be/rjXWcK_ryBc

I havent insinuated anything... not even in a vague or veiled sense. Havent mentioned slinging mud, drinking, waxing, or JACKASSERY of any kind. I asked who has run what with open diffs, and offered to wheel there with anyone after this weekend as im not afraid to "run what i brung" and really cant wait to see HF and I hope your there.

I wheel when and where I can, and that means seat time. Seat time means you build skills on the trail. Trail time means you know what to do if your shifter cable snaps, your engine is overheating, you lose a bead, your clutch loses preasure, your steering locks, your fan dies, you need the hi-lift, or you sink your rig. Then your wife makes a Jeep Thing snack she learned and you fix your rig - on the trail with parts and tools you learned to pack. No tow bill. No threads about warranty work.

So, can someone PLEASE tell me about doing HF level 3-5 trails in a 2 door, open diffed JK? I am interested in Bronco Buster specificaly, and anything without a bypass.

Easy lightning....

as for HF trails, i believe it was answered awhile back, as well as in other threads, but i'll do it again. yes you can do most everything in an open diffed JK. You WILL scrape and you WILL have some minor difficulties, but it can be done. You can do bronco buster if you don't mind pushing it a little. We did BB a couple times while we were there last time.

You're funny!!!! I was referring to what goes on there, not you specifically. I hope I'm there too, work is a mf'er though. I don't get to play nearly as much as I'd like. But that's life.

Bronco buster is one of my favorite trails. Twists you up real good. I run it in a 2 DOOR, WIDE OPEN JK. On a 2.5" w/ 33, you will scrap and grind and possibly tie wrap a steering stabilizer up (see that's "seat time", I have a little bit and the videos to prove it). Smaller jeeps than mine have done it, but its noisy.

Its common to get some damage on level 3 and certain on level 4-5. Bronco has got 2-3 nice obstacles, theres a bypass if you feel like your not ready for it. But it seems everytime I go out there the trails get easier as if people stack rocks and fill holes in so their rig can crawl it. Also, their website says you shouldnt do 4s if you are open diffed..bunch o BS
