I'm here in Juneau. Lived in AK for 30 years (Spenard, Fairbanks/UAF, and Juneau), moved up from WA when I was a year old.
For Jeeps, I've driven a ZJ, a TJ, and now have a JKU. Jeeps are my biggest hobby, even though mine is currently stock. I'm a Jeepmom and I Jeepwave. Any other Juneau Jeepers??

I'm about to go to Alaska for a nols trip. Is there still a lot of snow up in the mountains? I'm from oklahoma and any multi - day cold gear tips are welcome. I'll be living on a glacier for a month up there. I'm pumped!

There was a bike relay today from Haines AK to Haines Junction YT. People were bitching that there was still snow up in the pass - which doesn't surprise me. Going to Skagway I've stopped and had a snow ball fight in July. If you go high enough, you'll always find snow. I still can't get up to the top of the HILLS around here due to snow.
