Default I used a BIG one

My cooler is for a 26,000 lb gross vehicle weight. It covers my condenser completely. I've had it in for a year, NO problems or issues. The a/c still cold as ever, the engine temp hasn't changed at all, and the tranny Likes it....

Hey all!
I too will be doing this mod. I added some flow directions to the photos. For the less mechanically inclined like myself it may prevent some poor plumbing haha. Can someone confirm that I got the photos correct?

think you got it wrong way around, the upper line is feeding back to the trans from the stock cooler.

Which would bring cool oil direct to tranny...

Looks right to me...
Yes. The upper line is the transmission TO cooler line. The lower one is the return. I can confirm because I have an auxillary cooler on mine, and the upper line is the one I cut and reflared to tie in the new cooler. I used the lower line in the system unmodified. Here is the link to my install with hard lines.

I am just old school. I don't like a lot of rubber hose in the system.

EDIT: Please accept my apology. It has been a while since I made this mod. The TOP line in the transmission is the RETURN line, not the supply line, like I said above. You need to use the RETURN line because this still incorporates the factory cooler in the system FIRST, which is the best way. I apologize again for my mistake. I'm not a good artist, but if you need a diagram of how to run the lines, I'll be glad to scribble somethin up.

I've been using the same thing, ultimately

IT DOESN'T MATTER WHICH LINE YOU USE

The xmission oil, doesn't know any difference, when using an aux. cooler !!!

The top line is the cooler return line to the trans and it does matter, you want it to pass through the trans cooler last.

The Xmission oil doesn't care if it's going thru the PRIMARY or AUX cooler first, BUT

You have to make sure the oil flow direction, is from the top of cooler down

Some coolers MFG show the AUX cooler mounting, so oil flows side to side

Just follow the MFG sayso !!

Ok I changed the photos.

Based on all the info here this should be correct!

I found the write up confusing as to which direction the lines flow.

Thanks for the help folks
