Just to back-track a little bit; Did we ever distinguish which line to was better to tap into? The top return line was the first choice however throughout the thread some have been saying the bottom would be better to cut and send the hot oil into our aux cooler and then to the factory cooler.....?

Which one shall I tap into tomorrow when i install my cooler?

Thanks!

The usual method is to have the fluid go through the stock cooler first, then through the aux cooler, and back to the transmission.

I see where you have a 2011 so question ( do you care about warranty or not ? if so go with mopar cooler 82212486 if not I would let the aux cooler take the brunt of the heat first ( depending on what kind of cooler ( thermo bypass ) and where you live) like say Alaska use stock plumbing or if you live in Mojave desert aux plumbing first just my 2cents worth,

FWIW... I read the MOPAR auxiliary cooler installation manual found here. It sends the fluid through the stock cooler first, then through aux cooler.

Based on that, B&M's instructions and other posts here, I tapped the top line.

Just got done installing my trans cooler! Went with the Hayden brand available at pretty much any auto parts store. It's a little bigger
( 3/4x11x11 5/8x 9 1/2 ) than the B&M and cheaper! Part # 679 and I made mounting brackets and got another 5 ft of hose just to be safe since I went out on each side...

Hey guys, I know this thread is getting into a lot deeper information now from the first post. Can anyone tell me if the info from the OP still is accurate? I want to install mine in the next few days.

Also, best transmission fluid to have available?

What info were you referring to?
On late model Jeep stuff, I prefer going to the dealer and getting the factory fluid. It just makes me feel more warm and fuzzy.
