I was in 2wd for a while and then went into 4wd.

If I decide to so the install will probably do a beer and pizza jeep party at the house to meet other jeepers in the area.

In 2 WD in rough terrain in climbing situation will shoot up tranny temp. If you stay in 4WD early on you will not have high temp issue.

Having a cooler will not help climbing 4-wheel trails in 2WD.

If it does I haven't found it yet. Not that i have spent much tome under the hood. my tundra has a massive one in front of radiator with a fan.

When you look through the grill slots, you can see the A/C condenser. It looks like a radiator. At the bottom of the A/C condenser is the transmission cooler. There are two lines hooked to it on the driver's side.

Although it's called a transmission cooler, it's too small, and mostly out of the air flow.

Ok. Thanks for the info. Guess I need to open the hood more often and take a look. I like how on the tundra it's up front.
