Ya but reading through the threads "racinjimy" did this and he never mentioned having to flair it....I wonder if it would be ok to crimp down without a flair? Don't want to buy a flairing tool for 1 job and never use it again..

I didn't flare mine and I haven't had any problems. That's not to say that I won't, but so far so good. I did use fuel line clamps on mine where the new rubber lines connect to the factory steel lines just as a precaution though.
