To answer your question -

B&M 70264 SuperCooler transmission cooler. The B&M SuperCoolers are 100% aluminum construction and use stamped plates sandwiched together to create one of the most efficient oil cooling devices available. Not only does this unique design provide for maximized cooling through more efficient heat dissipation, but it also provides a much sturdier cooler which is practically impervious to flying rocks or other debris. The B&M SuperCoolers intended for automatic transmission fluid also offer an additional feature known as "low pressure drop". The coolers assembled with hose barb ends include a unique bypass feature allowing a controlled amount of ATF to bypass the stacked plate core when the fluid is cold. This is beneficial in cold climate areas to quard against lube system failure. Controlled by viscosity, fluid is returned directly to the lube circuit through bypass openings in the stacked plate core. As the temperature increases, more ATF is directed through the core. This highly efficient design combines improved protection against lube system failure with the required levels of optimal heat transfer.

■ ‘LPD’ feature
● ‘LPD’ or Low Pressure Drop
feature includes two bypass
channels nearest the fittings
to allow fluid to flow freely
especially when cold to
prevent lube system failure
.

Measures 11" by 5 3/4" by 1 1/2" thick and is rated at 14,400 BTU.

Stacked Plate Design with low pressure drop feature.

All oven brazed, aluminum construction.

Small and efficient design.

Includes installation kit.

3/8" extended nipple fittings providing improved hose and clamp contact.

I had been putting off this mod but now I'm pulling an ATV trailer quite abit so I thought it was time..

I mounted mine with the outlets in the up position. Then routed the lines right and left. I'm kinda like MONK, I like things symetrical. I had to buy 3 1/2 ft of hose to make this happen. ( Not enough hose in the kit to do it this way) It sure made routing hose easy. I used the existing mounts up top and just centered the cooler. I used the supplied brackets both top and bottom. I only had to drill the two holes for mounting the lower brackets. The cool sits alittle more than an inch off the radiator. 1/2 quart of ATF 4 and I was good to go.

After I took the pictures I used tie wraps and secured everthing nice and neat.

This post was a great help and getting the job done..

I did this mod over the weekend. It was really simple, but I found ways to make it difficult.

I first mounted the cooler so it stuck out quite a bit. I then remembered that I had to put the grill back on. After I measured it, I found that I did have enough clearance, but I did not want the cooler almost touching the grill. So I took off the cooler and rebent the brackets (that really sucks when you thought you had already finished that part).

After I finally finished the install I realized that the cooler is really close to my hood release. It works and all, but had I thought about it I would have installed the cooler differently. I likely would have had the hose connections facing up, instead of to the side. That way I could have the cooler placed far below my hood release.

Maybe when I get really bored I will get some more hose and remount the cooler a 3rd time. Naw that will never happen.

I just installed the B&M gauge that goes with the Cooler Part #80212.

Finding all of the electrical leads was the hard part. Once that is done, finding a cool place for the gauge took awhile. I decided to install mine next to the drivers side speaker..It was easy access to this area as the side panel comes off real easy and its right in line with where my wires come thru the firewall to the cab.

Heres a couple pictures showing the installed inline sending unit and where I installed the gauge.

Just bought mine today off Amazon - $59 and free shipping. Hard to beat...

Never had an overheat that I know of (fluid never boiled over) - however, I am still too lazy to go get the oil light recall done and I know it gets hot (from riding no carpet most of summer), so figured this was a smart thing to do for $60 and an hour of my time...
