Transmission Cooler

after I attached the 3/8 hose, it leaked like mad!
if you look at the hard line under the hose, it is textured to match the crimp (but not flared)
save yourself the time and just cut the hard line, which is what I did in the end and it took 5 minutes

Thanks
You were spot on. I even wrote to the customer service folks at Summit to ask what the B&M 70264 came with. Thier resonse was:
"The BMM-70268 includes the cooler, pull through radiator mounting straps, brass hose barb fittings, and 3/8" rubber line.... Hose does come with clamps. There are no mounting brackets"
Was please to unpack today and find all the accssories needed, which would have been a bit difficult to find here. My trust level with the Summit representative is low.

picture of the ends of the hard lines
I did my install last weekend. here is a picture of the end of the hard lines that I cut off. I could not get the 3/8 transmission line to not leak without cutting the ends off

Finally did this mod last week, using this write up it was very easy and didn't take long at all. I mounted mine closer ( 1/2 to 3/4 inch space between cooler and condensor) and you can feel the air being pulled through it at idle with the fan running. Also routed my hoses a little differently to hid them a little better. Thanks for great write up.
