Are you implying the grill has to be removed to change the headlight bulbs? It does not.

Hey Scott,

Thanks bro, I knew I should have just given you a call and asked about yours. That explains it perfectly for me. Thanks man.

Can you reach in from behind? I pulled the grill forward a few inches when I replaced my headlight housings. Not sure if you can get to the back of them to replace bulbs. I guess so.

I think the owners manual said to pull it off to change the bulbs. I remember when I first bought the Jeep that I look at trying to change the bulbs from the engine bay, and couldn't see enough room to do so.

Is this picture right as far as the cut and connection of the Aux Tranny Cooler?

You should be running the aux cooler in series with the stock cooler. The return line from the stock cooler should feed into the bottom of the aux cooler and top line of the aux cooler is the return line to the trans.

Did my transmission cooler this weekend. Great write-up, and easy to follow.

Thanks

Ok... potentially very stupid question here... but:

I have a manual transmission. I almost bought a transmission cooler (B&M) today to knock this project out, but I can't find the two hoses that are pictured in the OP's first post.

If this is a major demonstration of my lack of engine knowledge, I'll do it for you...

That's what I kinda figured...

After a bit of homework, I'm gonna go with:

1) No. Manuals are air cooled.

2) The manual tranny does have any tubes coming from it... so to add a cooler would require a pump and system that could move manual tranny fluid.

3) I'm a dork. Good thing I didn't order the cooler.
