Just completed the install today. Took me a while but then I tend to drag it out
with a couple of beverages and a good cigar. Went pretty smooth other than
having to go to the auto parts shop for some U.S.A. made hose clamps to replace the chinese crap claps from Lowes that failed.
It is a little tight getting the grill off now with the new winch and bumper.
Thanks to all of the info on this thread and forum!

Really like the way you have your brackets set up. Can you post some info on where you had to drill and/or use existin holes to mount the cooler (pics)?
Question - the answer may be obvious - We are heading into the cooler months here in Maryland. Install now, or wait till spring because the trans temps won't get as high due to lower ambient temps over winter?

Well, that depends on your usage during the winter. If you don't wheel it and don't tow with it during the winter, then wait. What's hard on a tranny is idling in gear (or crawling off road) and towing or driving fully loaded, especially in hilly terrain. So if you do that stuff all year round, upgrade now. If you don't tax the vehicle during the winter, then don't worry.

I have always added an external cooler to my muscle cars but never thought to do it on the Jeep. Good idea.
Are you guys getting enough cooling on the trail when you mount it away from the radiator without an auxiliary fan?
