Default stub front bumper

If anyone is interested in trying this with a bumper other than their original, I have an extra. It has cutouts for fogs and hooks.

Looks great...nice job! Since I wrote my mid-width stubby bumper thread, I've dinged my bumper and am going to make up a new one for myself...I'm thinking that I'll go the plastic rivet route this time. Also, when I make these up for others (per a few requests I've received)...I'm gonna go the plastic rivet route. Thanks for all the posts guys, keep it comin and post up your project pics!

Really want to attempt this mod but when on quadratec they had a kit with Im hopping has all the tools to perform the job so for 65 dollars seems alot better then me having to shop around and trying to find these rivets and the gun.
Plus I really like the look of the caps going over and not under the bumper.
What are your takes on it?

I did mine a while back, but here it is with the MBRP grille guard and some Hellas. I chose to go mid width instead of stubbie, I think I removed 11" total (5.5 each side). I just used a recip saw and bought a manual rivet gun ($15) and a pack of rivets ($5) from lowes. I meant to go back and bedline the whole thing but never got around to it. Only annoying thing is that I forgot to set the level on the fog lights..... still haven't bothered to fix them but now they basically shoot straight down.

Just got mine done!
Nice and easy, this mod was a piece of cake.
Not it's time to celebrate with a 60min IPA!
