You used the spray gun that came with the kit? I bought the kit and have never used a gun like that with a compressor. Was the spray gun good quality or should I buy something better?

I'm not sure if I should thank you? for now I have another mod on my list that I did not have before I read this thread!

Awesome job and looks great - I'm thinking a tan interior on my white Jeep to go with my digi-cammo seat covers?

Yeah I just used the one that came with the kit. Ive never done any painting or spraying like this before off a compressor, so I dont have anything to compare it to but I thought it was very simple and the supplied gun worked real well for me. The only thing to watch out for that others have mentioned as well is there is a breather hole in the top of the gun, so when the bottle is full and you are tipping it be careful not to let the mixture leak out that hole and into your tub (and all over your hands). It happen to me a few times but nothing too bad. I started just plugging that hole with a rag when I was tipping the bottle

Also, wear rubber gloves or some sort of gloves!! I had some on so no issue for me, but my dad was helping me with everything and didnt and got it all over his hands and had a heck of a time getting it off.

Good luck!

Sweet, sounds like a great idea! Get on it and post some pics of the completed job! I think it will be neat to see some other colors of the tintable spray in that people come up with, anything different than the same old black definitely gives it an AWWW factor and differentiates you!

Anyone know what psi you need to run w/ this? All I've got is a pussy pancake compressor & i don't think it will cut the mustard.......?

I set mine between 50-60 psi. I think that's what's recommended. I used a 12 gallon compressor and it kept up fine

6 month update?

This looks great!

Can this be matched to any color Jeep?
