I scuffed mine up with some sand paper.
The steering wheel pieces are easy to take off but hard to put back on without messing the little parts on the inside up.

The new Saharas have silver vent trim. But for those of us without it, I'm sure the can o' paint is much less expensive then buying OEM pieces. This is on my list of things to do in the near future.
