What are you guys using to clean the plastic for painting? I am thinking just hot water and a grease-removing dish soap (Dawn). Or maybe a good soaking in rubbing alcohol?

Acetone....but not too much. Swab on with cotton just once!
Then follow up with rubbing alcohol.
That should remove any oils or dirt for happy painting!

Go to a automotive paint supplier and give them the color code.
They should be able to mix it up and put it in some aerosol cans.
I don't know how much it will cost but I have seen it done.

Thanks for the warning...
