The silver pieces come right off, you may break the little clips that seem to hold it in, but it went back on just fine and hold as well as before. Just be slow taking off and putting back on.

I don't think this is possible in 2007 models because mine looks like one vinyl piece.

I could be wrong though

Correct, only the Sahara's have the silver covers and only in the '08's.

Made a cardboard cutout using a geometry drawing compass and used the spray paint. Not hard to pull cluster off, its on there with clips, real easy.
