Mine's holding up extremely well - no scratches or anything. I used "triple-thick" clear coat, and applied 3 full coats, so that's supposedly equivalent to 9 layers of clear coat... so I don't think ANYTHING's going to ruin that paint!

Has anyone painted theirs something other than silver or Red? I'm really looking to see how the Jeep Green looks, but any of the metallic colors would give me a good idea how it looks.

Yea i painted my ac vents silver and then ran out of paint. So just for the hell of it i used a metallic bronze dupli color wheel paint on the cluster. It actually turned out pretty good so i put it back in the dash. i'll try to get some pics up soon. It blends good with the rescue green hood behind the bronze cluster.

I finally did it. Got her on Tuesday and painted the vent rings Jeep Green, but I also did the spokes on the steering wheel. I think it turned out awesome and looks way better than the silver, which looked out of place in the khaki interior.

btw, if you go to http://www.paintscratch.com/ and choose a 2007 dodge charger, they have detonator yellow.
same color code so i think it will be an exact match.

I saw some of that chrome paint when I was shopping and it was tempting, but I am skeptical about how that would really look.
One good thing about the the stone and the matte clear is no fingerprints.
