Six-dollar dash upgrade

Six-dollar dash upgrade
Steps:
1. Buy Dupli-Color Vinyl & Fabric Coating in Silver (or any color you want)(I found it at Auto-Zone for $5.99)
2. Open the vents, turn the vent about 1/4 turn clockwise or counter-clockwise (depending on which vent).
3. This will unlock the vents and they will slide right out.
4. Use a small screwdriver to remove the vent bezel (lift four small "tabs")
5. Apply 3-4 thin coats of paint.
6. Dry, and you are done. Snap the bezels back in place and put the vents back in.
The paint looks great, very even and if you clean the plastic thoroughly, it will stick well.

Nice job Armycop! I was going to do the same thing! I already bought primer and OEM paint (bright silver ) and I just hadn't gotten around to doing it...It looks great on your Jeep! You inspired me to tackle the project this weekend. Thanks!

I like it. My dash has the silver trim already, i think this looks good
(Of course, i am going to have to get to the autoparts store first, before all the red jeep owners discover that they can actually add SILVER to their rides, they'll be buying up all the SILVER paint they can get their hands on.)
