Sahara4me,
Be honest, how would you bend it back and then have faith that it was strong enough? It is thick steel and you'd have to beat the he'll out of it with a hammer or put it in a hydraulic press. Either way, not for me.
Btw, those mirror relocation brackets are no good. How much of the right mirror can you actually see with the dashboard in the way? It is poorly designed I inherited a set when I bought this Jeep and I'm on the lookout for anything better.

The replacement hitch came from Quadratec the other day... Installed it and the wiring today. Hidden Hitch makes a very well built product! Everything is straight with good welds and nothing is bent!
Calling it a "Hidden Hitch" is ironic since it sticks out quite a bit, but I think it'll be fine. Thanks Keith for recommending this hitch. It is 10 times better than the Rugged Ridge.

I got one of these hitches a few days ago and theres really not a part on it thats straight and looks right. I dont know how a company can be happy with themselves sending something out their door that looks like this. Looks like someone just held each part in place by hand and welded it.

I bought a RR hitch recently (not from Quadtratec) and everything was fine. Mine didn't have the nuts welded either but actually I prefer it that way. Instead of taking the muffler out of it's hangers I took the rear bumper off. Made installation a lot easier. I do prefer the safety chain holes in the horizontal versus vertical though.
Hope you have good luck with your HH!

I too ordered a rugged ridge trailer hitch, it wasnt as bad as the one in the first post, but it definitely had a few quirks to it. Once it was on, i installed my hitch cargo basketand it went in pretty close to straight, so I didnt bother pulling it off to try to exchange it. I only paid about 65 bucks so i didnt care too much, but when they are welding these up, they shouls be using a jig and double checking for square.
