That stinks. I had a RR hitch on my 09 and it was great.

Sorry to hear about this problem! I know it sucks when you buy a product and it isn't right. I'm glad Quadratec is helping you with this though. I have the RR hitch receiver and mine works fine, thankfully!

Rugged ridge has huge QC issues, that's why Northridge won't sell there products.

Northridge4x4 sells a ton of RR products on their website. I don't know where you're getting this info.

Not sure about the Northridge bit but the QC issues are definitely present. Bought a couple of RR products when I started building my rig. All were replaced eventually as they simply weren't the quality I wanted on my JK. Nothing from RR goes on my Jeep anymore..

Thumbs down

Strike two Ruggid Ridge! Second one showed up today via UPS. Opened the box and the back plate that goes behind the crossmember is bent... Arghhhh! It won't even fit over the crossmember.

Called Quadratec and spoke to Keith. (Very helpful) He's sending a UPS call tag for this Rugged Ridge piece of junk and he reccomended a different hitch that should work better. It will be on its way to me later today.

Can't be upset with Quadratec, they have been great. I'm just not going to be buying anything from Rugged Ridge anytime soon. There are far too many manufacturers that make good products to even think about buying anything else from them.

That sucks! Sorry to hear about your issues with RR and the hitch. Just curious, what hitch did Keith reccomend to you?

I would have bent it back and installed it, my RR mirror relocation brackets were ideal either but with lil massaging they went right on

Sahara4me,
Be honest, how would you bend it back and then have faith that it was strong enough? It is thick steel and you'd have to beat the he'll out of it with a hammer or put it in a hydraulic press. Either way, not for me.
Btw, those mirror relocation brackets are no good. How much of the right mirror can you actually see with the dashboard in the way? It is poorly designed I inherited a set when I bought this Jeep and I'm on the lookout for anything better.
